One night, the entire family went bowling in a little place called the Little Rose. It was a really tiny place, it only had 3 lanes if I remember correctly. I remember that I had to bowl in my socks because they didn't have shoes my size (and my brother reminded me the other day that I cried because my high bowling score was a "1") .. It was a fun, fun time. My parents brought back this souvenir to remember the trip.
On Friday night, my brothers and I opened the 30 year old bottle for the first time and toasted to my beautiful mom...

When I was 10 my mom took my family to Marshfield, Wisconsin for the first time for her baby sister's wedding. We met my mom's 5 sisters and 1 brother, and all of my cousins. It was a wonderful trip. We spent a lot of time in the open country side and farmland. I remember chasing fireflies, picking wild raspberries, hayrides and hearing stories of my aunts and uncles and the time they spent on the farm. It was something I will never forget and will always cherish.

Years later, unfortunately, we heard that the Little Rose burned down.
